Matlab Code: Secrets of the Tide, Tide & Tidal Current Analysis and Predictions, Storm Surges, and Sea Level Trends

MATLAB programs for the analysis and prediction of ocean tides and tidal currents with graphic display of data and evaluation statistics.

Two MATLAB programs with GUIs have been written to accompany a new book on ocean tides and currents. Tidal analysis is accomplished by least squares harmonic fitting of nine tidal constituents using monthly water level and water current records available from government and institutional web sites in the United States and Europe.

Predictions of both tides and currents can be generated for scientific, instructional and commercial purposes but are not intended for applications involving navigation or marine safety. The tidal programs are well-suited for storm surge analysis and evaluation of non-tidal fluctuations in sea level.

This is a very nice and easy-to-use software. Even you know little about tides, you are the expert in tidal analysis by using this software. It is pretty good to predict tides for my location at which the tidal table is not available.
